چکیده
ABSTRACT Xanthomonas vasicola pv. vasculorum is one of the main bacterial diseases in corn, which causes damage to crops due its fast dissemination and difficult control. This study aimed evaluate effects chemical products on control corn grain yield. The experimental design was randomized blocks, a 2 x 7 factorial arrangement, with three replications. first factor consisted hybrids P30F53VYHR (more resistant disease) P4285VYHR susceptible) second six active ingredients (kasugamycin, sulfur, cuprous oxide, copper oxychloride, quaternary ammonia potassium phosphite) (no application). obtained data were used estimate area under disease progress curve. based ammonia, oxychloride kasugamycin provided greater presented higher yield than that for P4285VYHR. Therefore, use genetically hybrid an efficient alternative management this bacteriosis.

Chemical Control of Depredating Blackbirds in Ontario Field Corn
INTRODUCTION Corn depredation by red·winged blackbirds (Agelaius phoeniceus) has been an agricultural problem in southwestern Ontario for many years. Large marsh areas along the shoreline of Lakes Erie and St. Clair provide ideal habitat for breeding and roosting. Concurrently, the vast monocultural field corn acreages in Kent and Essex Counties have over the years been the centers for blackbir...
متن کاملEvaluation of in vitro gas production and rumen bacterial populations fermenting corn milling (co)products.
The objective of this study was to evaluate the fermentation dynamics of 2 commonly fed corn (co)products in their intact and defatted forms, using the in vitro gas production (IVGP) technique, and to investigate the shifts of the predominant rumen bacterial populations using the 16S rDNA bacterial tag-encoded FLX amplicon pyrosequencing (bTEFAP) technique. The bTEFAP technique was used to dete...

Very little information exists in regards to the control options available for potato flea beetles, Epitrix spp. This short review covers both chemical and ecological options currently available for control of Epitrix spp. Synthetic pyrethroids are the weapon of choice for the beetles. However, the impetus in integrated pest management is to do timely (early-season) applicatio...
متن کاملZein Extraction from Corn, Corn Products, and Coproducts and Modifications for Various Applications: A Review
Cereal Chem. 88(2):159–173 Corn can be fractioned to produce starch, fiber, oil, and protein in relatively pure forms. The corn kernel contains 9–12% protein, but half of this is an industrially useful protein called zein. Dry milled corn (DMC), corn gluten meal (CGM), and distiller’s dried grains with solubles (DDGS) are all coproducts from corn that contain zein and are used for zein extracti...
